What Are Connectors and How to Use Them

Connectors are plugins that enable your customers to add their stores right from their native surrounding, that is, web store back office.

Depending on the shopping cart that a merchant uses, to add their store you need their FTP or API credentials. Sellers are usually unwilling to share this personal information and are happy to use safer for their privacy methods. The API2Cart connectors eliminate this inconvenience and make you a trustable service provider that cares about data safety and customer convenience.

There are yet two generations of the API2Cart connectors. The first one embraces the Magento, WooCommerce, CS-Cart, and PrestaShop plugins. The second one counts yet only those for Shopify and Magento 2.

How first-generation connectors work

The four plugins are bridge-based. All your users need to do is install and activate the plugin, and then share their store key to ensure the proper work though the API2Cart API, their login and password safely unrevealed.

How second-generation connectors work

These plugins only require your unique vendor plugin key that you can find in your API2Cart account. It determines what server and account the store is to be added to.

Your users install the plugin, enter your plugin key, and click Connect.
